What is required to book my mini session appointment?
A.In order to officially reserve your spot, full payment and a signed contract are due within 24 hours of receiving your invoice and contract (this will come to the email you provide when selecting your appointment). Please allow 24-48 hours for the invoice and contract to be sent out. The appointment will become available on the booking link again for others to book if payment and signature are not received within 24 hours of receiving invoice and contract.
Is my payment for my mini session refundable in case something comes up and I can't make it to my appointment?
A.Unfortunately no. Please make sure you are 100% interested and committed to coming before booking. You're welcome to find someone else to fill your spot and can have them pay you for the money you spent, but please make sure to contact me with any changes so I can send an updated contract. If you are no longer able to make it to your appointment and cannot find someone to take your place, 50% of your payment can be applied to a future mini session booking, but no refunds will be issued for client cancellations. If there is inclement weather on the day of your session, I will make the final call about the weather, and there will be a reschedule date if the weather is deemed unsuitable. If you cannot make it to the reschedule date, you may apply your payment to a future mini session. However, in the case that I have to cancel the mini sessions altogether with no reschedule date, you will be fully refunded.
What if I am late to my appointment?
A.Please plan to arrive at least 20-30 minutes ahead of your session time in order to give yourself time to park, do last minute outfit/makeup adjustments, walk to the exact session spot, etc.. And if you're someone who tends to be late (no judgement, because I am too when my kids are involved!), then please pretend your appointment is 30-45 minutes earlier than it really is haha (for real though!). Unfortunately missed time due to arriving late cannot be made up since there will be a strict schedule of appointments for the day, so it's important to be on time. Missed appointments are also not refundable.
Will I have the option to purchase additional images from my session?
A.Yes, you will be able to purchase additional images if you'd like! Additional images will be $10 each, or $150-$200 for all, depending on your selected mini session.
Do I get to choose my photos? What is the process?
A.For your mini sessions, you will receive an initial watermarked gallery of photos where you will select your favorite images to be edited in my signature style. A predetermined amount of edited photos comes with your mini session package, but you will also have the option to purchase additional images for $10 per image or between $150-$200 (depending on your selected mini session details) for all of the usable images from your session.
Do you have any tips or guidance for choosing outfits for our session?
A.Yes - I sure do! Color choice is key! Try not to have everyone in the same exact colors, but choose a color palette and try to select items that go well together. Whites, neutrals, pastels, and other light colors typically photograph best with my editing style and help to keep true to the light and bright style of my photos that you were probably drawn to. I love solids or small, floral prints and subtle patterns (nothing too bold or "loud"). Playing with different textures of fabrics can be a great way to coordinate without being too "matchy" too.
For women, my favorite look is a flow midi or maxi dress. For the guys a henley, sweater, or button down shirt with some jeans or chinos.
For Holiday minis, incorporating traditional Christmas colors into your outfits work well too. Christmas PJs or a casual "at home" look would work as well. Keep in mind the type of aesthetic you want based on the setting and type of mini session you have chosen and if you have any questions or need a second opinion, please feel free to shoot me a message!
How long before I can expect to get my edited photos back from my mini session?
A.It can be anywhere between 2-6 weeks during the busiest season of the year (September to early December), and usually around 2-3 weeks during the rest of the year, however sometimes it can also be sooner! I want to get your photos back to you as soon as I am able to so you can enjoy them, and I promise I will try my best to get them back quickly!
We also want my parents to join in the photos with us. Is that ok?
A.Mini sessions are for single families 6 members and under. However, if you would like for your parents or any other additional family members or friends to join the session, please book two time slots. If there aren't any back-to-back available appointments, please reach out!
Can I bring my dog?
A.Depending on the location, sometimes you can! Please make sure to reach out to me if you are interested in bringing your fur baby to your session so we can see if it's allowed at the particular location. Also please keep in mind that your dog will count towards the family member number limit for mini sessions, so there will be an additional fee of the price of a second mini session appointment for your additional member if it exceeds the particular mini session limit.
