What is required to book my session appointment?

A.In order to officially reserve your spot, a retainer fee of 50% of the session price + any location fees for your chosen session location is due at the time of booking, and a session contract must be signed. After we've chatted about plans, I'll create your contract and invoice and send it over to the email you have provided. When I receive everything needed, you'll be officially official!

Can I get my retainer fee back if something comes up and I can't make it to my appointment?

A.Unfortunately no, but you may reschedule your session to another date with no penalty as long as it is within a month of the session date. If you are no longer able to make it to your appointment, and reschedule within the reschedule window (which will be specified in your contract), there will be no additional charge. Fees may apply for last minute rescheduling. No refunds will be issued for client cancellations, so please make sure you are 100% interested and committed to having a session before booking.

If there is inclement weather on the day of your session, I will make the final call about the weather, and if I deem it unsuitable conditions for our session, we can reschedule to another date within 1 month of the original session date with no reschedule fee.

What happens if it's supposed to be bad weather for our session date?

What if I am late to my appointment?

A.Please plan to arrive at least 10-15 minutes ahead of your session time to give yourself time to park, do last minute outfit/makeup adjustments, walk to the exact session spot, etc.. And if you're someone who tends to be late (no judgement, because I am too when my kids are involved!), then please pretend your appointment is 30-45 minutes earlier than it really is haha (for real though!). Unfortunately missed time due to arriving late cannot always be made up due to things like outdoor lighting, location appointment windows, a strict schedule of session appointments for the day, or my childcare time constraints, so it's important to be on time. Missed time and missed appointments are not refundable.

Will I have the option to purchase additional images from my session?

A.Currently full and half sessions include delivery of all the best images of the session which will be a guaranteed specified amount depending on which session you book. For Mini sessions you will be able to purchase additional images if you'd like! Additional images will be $10 each, or between $150-$200 for the full edited proofs gallery depending on the terms of your specific selected session.

Do I get to choose my photos? What is the process?

A.For Mini Sessions, yes - you will receive an initial watermarked gallery of photos to be edited in my signature style where you will select your favorite images to keep. A predetermined amount of edited photos comes with your selected session package, but you will also have the option to purchase additional images for $10 per image or will have the option to purchase all the images in your proofs gallery. Full & Half sessions currently come with all the best, usable images without the need to select a predetermined amount

Do you have any tips or guidance for choosing outfits for our session?

A.Yes - I sure do! Color choice is key! Whites, neutrals, pastels, and other light colors typically go best with my editing style. I love solids or small, floral prints and subtle patterns (nothing too bold or "loud"). For women, my favorite look is a flowy midi or maxi dress. For the guys a henley or button down shirt with some jeans or chinos. How long before I can expect to get my edited photos back from my session?

A.Usually I'm able to have your photos back to select within 3 weeks, and sometimes 4 weeks during the peak busy seasons, however it can possibly be sooner too sometimes! After you select your photos from your proofs gallery, you can expect those to be delivered within a week (but usually sooner!).

We also want my parents or extended family members to join in the photos with us. Is that ok?

A.Sessions are for single families (including pets). However, if you would like for your parents or additional family members to join for the session, they can join for an additional fee of $50.

Can I bring my dog to our session?

A.Depending on the location, sometimes you can! I love when dogs are included!! Please make sure to reach out to me if you are interested in bringing your fur baby to your session so we can see if it's allowed at the particular location. I also advise bringing an additional person to be the designated dog handler for moments when they are not in the shots so that you don't have to worry about wasting time trying to get them tied up somewhere.

Is there a fee to rent dresses/items from your client closet?

A.Absolutely not! One of the services you have access to when booking with me is free access to my client closet dresses and newborn items. Please feel free to borrow anything from my client closet to wear for your session at no extra cost to you. Appointments can be made to shop and try on dresses in my client closet at my home office in Marietta prior to your session.
